NEWS Piastri Leads McLaren 1-2 as Verstappen Loses His Cool

Posted by Admin on June 1, 2025

Oscar Piastri delivered another commanding performance to win the Spanish Grand Prix, heading a McLaren 1-2 finish in an action packed race.

Papaya Prowess & Red Bull Risk

Starting from pole position, Lando Norris again found himself losing a position into turn one due to being too cautious, this time to the charging Red Bull of Max Verstappen. McLaren’s race pace proved to be top of the field again, and Norris managed to re-take P2 from the Dutchman on lap 13.

While he was unable to compete with the McLarens on pure pace, Verstappen and the Red Bull team opted for a risky and highly aggressive three-stopp strategy which was perfectly executed and ensured Verstappen was in the mix for the race win until the final stage of the race.

NEWS Norris Secures First Monaco Victory as New Pit Stop Rule Fails to Create Excitement

Posted by Admin on May 25, 2025

Lando Norris secured a controlled victory in Monaco from pole position, with Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri completing the podium. This year's edition of one of the calendar's least action-packed events was defined by a new mandatory 2-stop rule which created frustration instead of excitement.

Early Action

As the lights went out, Norris locked up while braking into Sainte Dévote but managed to hold the inside line against a fast-starting Leclerc to maintain his position. The early laps saw a fight in the midfield between rookies Gabriel Bortoleto and Andrea Kimi Antonelli, which ended with Bortoleto hitting the barrier at Portier and triggering a Virtual Safety Car.

The VSC presented the first major strategic dilemma. While the leaders stayed out to retain track position and gambling o...

NEWS Verstappen Triumphs at Imola as McLaren Completes the Podium

Posted by Admin on May 18, 2025

In what might be the last time Formula 1 visits the (in)famous Imola circuit in the foreseeable future, Red Bull star Max Verstappen delivered one of his finest drives of the past years to claim victory ahead of the McLaren duo of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri.

Move of the Season?

Red Bull brought a series of floor, sidepod, and engine cover upgrades to Imola, and while Verstappen narrowly missed out on pole on Saturday, the new-look RB21 came alive in race trim. At lights out, pole-sitter Piastri got away cleanly, but was immediately under pressure from Verstappen and Mercedes' George Russell. In a head-turning move, Verstappen outbraked Piastri and slid past him in the Variante Tamburello, quickly breaking the DRS window and controlling the pace from there.

This adds to the ongoing upheaval at Alpine, which had announced on Tuesday that team principal Oliver Oaks had resigned with immediate effect, with his duties being taken over by Executive Advisor Flavio Briatore.

NEWS Piastri Leads McLaren 1-2 Victory at Miami Grand Prix

Posted by Admin on May 5, 2025

Oscar Piastri secured his third consecutive and fourth overall win of the season in Miami, after starting P4. While Max Verstappen struggled with driveability, Lando Norris’ race craft came under scrutiny again.

McLaren vs. Verstappen

In his 52nd Grand Prix, Piastri drove another race worthy of a future champion. One of its highlights was applying pressure to the leading Verstappen over several laps and eventually forcing him into an uncharacteristic mistake, resulting in Piastri taking the lead of the race, which he would hold on to until the chequered flag.

Verstappen and Norris once again treated fans to a series of exciting duels, beginning with Verstappen pushing Norris off-track at Turn 2, dropping the Briton back to P6. The move went unpunished by the stewards, who deemed that Tu...
